City leaders in Marceline are considering their options for improving traffic safety along their iconic Main Street USA.

The city council discussed ways to increase visibility for drivers and pedestrians during Wednesday night’s meeting. City manager Jesse Wallis says he was asked to come up with recommendations.

However, Wallis admits that there’s not room in the budget for a feasibility study, which led to other options.

The council made no decisions on the issue at Wednesday night’s meeting.
