The Odessa Board of Aldermen considered a right-of-entry and exploration agreement with the United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) during its meeting on Tuesday, November 12.
The city owns about ten acres of land adjacent to the Missouri River. This is where the city’s water wells are located. City Administrator Shawna Davis says the city’s land is surrounded by land owned by the Army Corp of Engineers.
The agreement allows USACE to survey, make test borings, and carry out other exploratory work on the land.
In other news, aldermen approved a bill calling for a General Election on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. The board will have three aldermen seats on up for election, one from each ward.
