The City of Sedalia is hosting its 44th annual Christmas Light contest in December.
Each contestant’s holiday decorations will be judged from the street view based on lighting, eye appeal, originality, and overall appeal. The contest is confined to the city limits. City employees are not eligible to participate in this contest.
The first-place winner will be awarded $100, second place receives $50 and third place receives $25. Previous cash prize winners in the last three years are not eligible to apply. Applications will be accepted no later than noon on Monday, December 9. Judging will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10. The application form and more details about the contest are available on the city’s website.
Complete displays are to remain in place throughout the Christmas holiday season for the enjoyment of the community.
