A Holden man sustained serious injuries after he was struck on a state highway Saturday, Nov. 16 just west of Chilhowee.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 71-year-old man stepped into the path of a Ford Bronco that another 71-year-old was driving along Route 2 just west of Chilhowee. The pedestrian was taken to a Warrensburg hospital for treatment. The driver of the Bronco had no reported injuries.

The accident occurred around 5:25 p.m. Saturday.
