The Marshall High School Debate Squad competed in the Carrollton Speech Tournament over the weekend, with several members taking first in their events.

Brianna Carrillo took first in Poetry and Prose Reading. Jasmine Davis placed first in Dramatic Reading and Ivan Lin captured first in Oratory. Lin also placed second in Radio Speaking.

Aliesha Ernest placed second in Poetry and fifth in Prose. Maya Mackey took second in Oratory.

The next tournament for the squad will be held at Truman High School on December 6-7.
