The Salisbury Board of Aldermen approved an event request from Miracle on Broadway to hold its Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7.

The parade begins at 5, with other events being held from 2-6 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas at the Movies.”

In other news, aldermen held a discussion over replacing the city’s shooting range pavilion. Salisbury Mayor Steve Kacvinsky told KMMO News that the current pavilion is in rough shape, highlighting problems with its roof and floor. Aldermen gave Police Chief James Cole permission to seek bids to replace the structure. Aldermen will review the bids and determine the best step forward at a future meeting.

Also, the board scheduled a joint meeting with the Board of Public Works. The meeting will be held 30 minutes before the aldermen’s next meeting on Thursday, December 12.
