Charles E. “Sonny” Scott, 87, of rural Sweet Springs, MO, died Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs with William W. Harlow officiating.  There is no visitation.  Memorials are suggested to the charity of donor’s choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born August 4, 1937, in Sweet Springs, MO, he was the son of the late Charles Victor Scott and Lora Bell Ballenger Scott.  Sonny lived in the rural Sweet Springs area his entire life and was a 1956 graduate of Sweet Springs High School.  He was a lifelong farmer and also owned and operated a lime and fertilizer hauling business.

Survivors include one brother, Larry C. Scott (Ruth); one niece, Michelle Scott Zimmerschied (Alan); one nephew, Kevin Scott (Carrie); and three great nephews, Corbin and Brody Zimmerschied and Kade Scott; all of rural Sweet Springs.

In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by a brother in infancy.
