Jordan Binnington saved all three shots by San Jose’s shooters to defend home ice Thursday, Nov. 21 at Enterprise Center, as the Saint Louis Blues needed the shootout to post a 3-2 victory, placing Binnington in a tie for most wins by a Blues goalie.

Binnington earned his keep in the shootout, stopping all three shots after saving 22 of 24 San Jose shots during regulation and the overtime period. Jake Neighbours notched the lone goal in the shootout to secure the Blues’ ninth win of the season. Nathan Walker and Jordan Kyrou scored for the Blues in regulation, while Alexander Wennberg had both of the Sharks’ goals, including wrist shot with nine seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

The win puts Binnington level with Mike Liut for most wins in Blues history with 151. He’ll have a chance to claim the record for himself when the Blues travel to Long Island to face the New York Islanders on Saturday night. Puck drop is at 6:30 p.m.
