A new residential subdivision on 31 acres is one step closer to approval in Marshall.

Marshall’s subdivision advisory group and planning and zoning board both approved plat maps Thursday, Nov. 21 for a proposed neighborhood in the western part of the city. The proposal will need to go before the city council for final approval. Marshall Mayor Vince Lutterbie says the development is years in the making.

Lutterbie notes that the plat map is not yet considered final, which is required before the council can weigh in on it.

Mayor Lutterbie says he hopes all the documents are in place before the Marshall City Council’s next meeting Dec. 3. However, he says he’s prepared to call a special session later in December if necessary.
