The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works discussed the new residential subdivision that was recently approved by the Planning and Zoning Board on November 21.

MMU General Manager Jeff Bergstrom told the board that the developer of the project wants to install a water main, but has requested that MMU provide and install electrical conduit. MMU policy requires the installation of the electrical conduit be done by the contractor, but the board has the power to approve this exception. The site developer is doing all the excavation work required for the conduit.

After some discussion, the board voted to approve this request.

The Marshall City Council still has to approve the proposal for the subdivision, and plans to consider it in December.
