Students at Slater Schools experienced a throwback Tuesday for a couple hours Nov. 26, when power to the campus and nearby areas of the city went out.

Superintendent Dr Terry Lorenz says the power went off late in the morning after city crews alerted the district to a situation near campus.

Lorenz says the city was prompt with progress reports, allowing him and district officials to update their plans as the day went on and keep students safe.

Slater Schools are out for Thanksgiving break until Monday.
