Jake Neighbours scored with 20 seconds remaining on the power play to force an extra frame for the St Louis Blues, but Matvei Michkov needed nearly as much time to claim the victory for the Philadelphia Flyers, defeating the Blues 3-2 on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Enterprise Center in St Louis.

Robert Thomas was positioning himself to take the first overtime shot for the Blues, but was unable to after Travis Konecny swiped the puck from him, swinging it forward to Michkov on the breakaway. Michkov then juked Jordan Binnington to slot in the game-winning backhander. Owen Tippett and Tyson Foerster netted goals in regulation for the Flyers, while Dylan Holloway claimed the Blues’ first goal halfway through the third. The Flyers registered 31 shots on goal compared to the Blues’ 27.

With the overtime loss, the Blues picked up a point to go to 24 on the season, placing them sixth in the Central Division after Utah cleaned out Vegas with a 6-0 win. The Blues are back on the road Tuesday to visit the Winnipeg Jets.
