With the Thanksgiving break over, crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation are back on the roads completing maintenance projects.

Several culverts are scheduled for replacement this week in Chariton County. Route W north of Salisbury is closed until 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2 between Route 129 and Prairie Valley Avenue. Tuesday, crews will close Route UU just outside Keytesville, between Route 5 and Dooley Ford Road. Crews will also close Route ZZ east of Marceline from Parish to Peden Chapel roads. Both closures will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Route ZZ is also expected to close Thursday for another replacement, as will Route UU from Dooley Ford Road to O’Bryan Avenue. Also in Chariton County this week, Route KK is down to one lane across the Little Chariton River as crews perform bridge maintenance.

Shoulder repairs continue on several Johnson County highways this week. Route 13 between the southern roundabout with Business Route 13 and Southeast 300th Road will be down to one lane Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. The highway will be down to one lane between Route 50 and Division Road on Wednesday, also from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shoulder repairs continue this week on Route 58 between Holden and Route 50. Brush cutting operations are underway Monday until 4 p.m. along Route VV west of Centerview, between Southwest 100th and Southwest 871st roads.
