Marshall’s City Council will have a work session following their regular meeting Tuesday, Dec. 3 to discuss events hosted on the downtown square.

Mayor Vince Lutterbie says he hopes to clear the air about what the city can and cannot regulate when it comes to requests for street closures.

Lutterbie notes that one area the city can’t control is the courthouse lawn, which is the purview of the Saline County Commission.

The work session comes one month after three residents criticized activities they say occurred at a pride festival that took place on the square in September. Marshall City Council begins their regular session Tuesday at 6 p.m.
