The Town of Carrollton will do away with a dumpster this week that was a regular dumping spot for residents outside the city.

Mayor Susan Bliss made the announcement at Monday night’s town council meeting, when the council agreed to install a “No Dumping” sign at the city’s commuter lot.

Bliss says county residents previously dumping their trash at the lot should arrange with the county’s contracted trash provider to have their trash picked up for a monthly fee.

Also at last night’s meeting, the council agreed to spend $14,000 on a new fence around the McCoy Ball Field.

The Carrollton Town Council also renewed their agreement with Westbrook and Company to conduct the town’s annual audit, and renewed direct deposit services with Carroll County Trust Company.
