
A Waverly man sustained serious injuries after his vehicle went off a Lafayette County highway Monday, Dec. 2.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred around 1:10 p.m. along Route 23 just south of Jingles Road, about three miles southwest of Waverly. According to the report, the 67-year-old driver was heading north on the highway when his car slid off the right side of the roadway and struck some stationary farm equipment. He was taken to a Kansas City area hospital for treatment. The Waverly man was the only person involved in the crash, according to troopers.
