The Concordia Board of Aldermen set new water rates for residents inside the city, as well as residents in the City of Emma and the Public Water Supply District 2 (PWSD) during its meeting Monday, December 2.

Concordia has a water service contract with the City of Emma and PWSD 2, in addition to providing services to residents in city limits. City Administrator Dale Klussman said the board approved a five percent increase in the service availability rate, and an additional increase on the flow rate for city residents.

For residents inside the city, the new service availability charge is $21.05 per month. The flow rates are $6.82 per 1,000 gallons between 0-5,000 gallons, $8.09 between 5,001 and 100,000 gallons, and $6.94 over 100,000 gallons.

The service availability rate for the city of Emma and PWSD 2 is $15.55. These rates take effect in December and will be reflected on the bills customers receive in January 2025.
