A Leeton man suffered moderate injuries after his vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer Wednesday, Dec. 4 in the community.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as the 65-year-old was driving west on Route 2 at the intersection with SE 301st Road, around 7:45 a.m. According to the patrol, a northbound Peterbilt driven by a 44-year-old man from Warrensburg failed to stop at the intersection and impacted the driver’s side of the other vehicle. The Leeton man was taken to a nearby hospital, while the Peterbilt driver had no reported injuries.
