Visitors to Saturday’s Christmas Extravaganza in Malta Bend will have an opportunity to win one of several fully decorated Christmas trees.

The Malta Bend PTO is sponsoring this year’s extravaganza, now in its third year. Organizer Mandy Schull says in addition to over a dozen vendors selling handmade crafts and baked goods, attendees can walk through the Festival of Trees.

Each tree will have a bag in front where participants can place their tickets. Schull says many of the trees are themed.

Schull says the Christmas Extravaganza is this year’s main fundraiser for Malta Bend PTO.

The Malta Bend Christmas Extravaganza runs Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Malta Bend R-V School, with the Festival of Trees drawing set for 1:30 p.m. The junior class will host their chili luncheon at the event between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
