The Glasgow Board of Aldermen received public comment last Monday, Dec. 2 on proposed increases to the city’s water and wastewater rates.
City administrator Robert Snider tells KMMO News that after fielding testimony from residents, the board is now considering splitting the proposed increase, so that both the base water and wastewater rates would increase by $4.33 per month. Snider says the board will consider an ordinance adopting the higher rates at their January 13th meeting.
The Glasgow Board of Aldermen will meet Monday, Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. for their regular meeting. Included on the agenda is a request from a private business seeking repairs to their sewer line.
