One of the City of Sedalia’s outdoor pools could soon become home to a bowling alley.

The city’s council agreed last week to amend their professional services agreement with the architectural firm Hoefer Welker LLC to include a new bowling alley and aquatic center. City administrator Kelvin Shaw says the alley follows a recent donation to the city by longtime benefactor Sue Heckert.

Shaw says Hoefer Welker will also design a replacement aquatic center for the now-closed Centennial Pool.

Also last week, the Sedalia City Council approved a memorandum of understanding with the Missouri Department of Conservation to stock the fishing ponds at Liberty Park and Clover Dell Park.
