Construction is underway for a new business that plans to create 30 jobs in Glasgow.

CAM Construction Services is building a new facility for their cabinet manufacturing division, providing a $925,000 investment for the city. Glasgow City Administrator Robert Snider says CAM’s arrival in the city follows over a year of discussions.

A rezoning ordinance for the facility on Randolph Street was approved in September, clearing the way for CAM to begin construction. Snider says the 30 new jobs will provide a significant boost to Glasgow and the surrounding area.

To help fund their expansion to Glasgow, CAM Construction Services will utilize Missouri Works, a state Department of Economic Development program that allows companies to claim tax credits or withholdings to expand and retain employees. City administrator Robert Snider also credits the efforts of Howard County Economic Development and the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation for helping bring CAM to Glasgow.
