The starting date of the next bridge replacement project included in the Northwest Bridge Bundle project has been pushed back again.
The Carroll County Route J bridge over Bridge Creek, located west of Hale, is now expected to close Monday, January 6. The bridge was originally scheduled to close Monday, December 2, but has been pushed back several times due to contractor scheduling conflicts. The project to replace the bridge is expected to be complete in May 2025.
During construction, motorists will need to find an alternate route. The Bridge Creek Bridge was built in 1932 and has a traffic volume of approximately 487 vehicles per day.
All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
