
Connie Ann Rieth, 81, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating and William W. Harlow doing the eulogy. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Born July 6, 1943, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Jewell Rae Vaché Fox. Connie was a 1961 graduate of Marshall High School. She married William E. “Bill” Rieth on August 20,1960 and together they owned and operated Marshall Paving Company. Connie was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Water Garden Club, Red Hatters Society and Mid-Day Optimist Club. Connie and Bill loved sailing, spending time with family and loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and had a great love of cooking, especially for her family.
Connie is survived by three children, Denise Rieth and Dawn Plummer (Allen) both of Marshall and Shawn Rieth (Kris) of Liberty, MO; four grandchildren, Aubrie Evans (Mac), Marc Plummer (Summer), Andrew Rieth (Sarah) and MacKenzie White (Kevin); six great-grandchildren, Rook, Harper, Maverick, Chloe, Theo and Brody; three brothers; Roger Howery, Alan Wilson (Tammy) and Chuck Wilson (Karen); sister-in-law, Jamie Wilson Nichols; and many nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother; husband, William E. “Bill” Rieth on December 14, 2019; one son, Marc Edward Rieth; and one brother, Albie Wilson.
