
The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works reviewed reports and updated its BOD and TSS rates during its meeting on Wednesday, December 11.
The only action the board took was to update its Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) rates for 2025. After some discussion, the board voted to set the BOD rate at $.27 per pound, and the TSS rate at $.24 per pound.
In other news, MMU General Manager Jeff Bergstrom reported that MMU received a reimbursement from DNR for the North Street Pump Station. The reimbursement was in the amount of $1.6 million.
Also, Underground Facilities Director Grant Piper reported that the request for qualifications for the Water Distribution Master Plan were due December 10. The board will review and consider the submissions at a future meeting.
