A second visit to Kansas City by soccer superstar Lionel Messi could take place in the snow this February, following Tuesday night’s draw for the bracket of the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Sporting Kansas City was drawn to face Inter Miami in the two-leg first round set for early February. The two teams met in league play last April, when Messi scored one goal and assisted on another to lead Miami to a 3-2 win in front of 72,610 fans at Arrowhead Stadium. Miami would go on to win the MLS Supporters Shield as the best team in the regular season.  Sporting KC finished second to last in the Western Conference, but able to qualify for international competition by finishing as runners-up in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup this fall.

Exact dates and game locations will be set in the coming days. The winner of the two games will advance to face Jamaican side Cavalier FC in March.
