The Salisbury City Council received a request Wednesday night from a pair of youngsters wanting bike lanes leading to their school.

Mayor Steve Kacvinsky says the city is reviewing the students’ request to determine if a dedicated bike lane from South Broadway west to the Salisbury R-IV campus is feasible.

In other business, the council agreed to transfer funds from the city’s reserve account to cover the recent purchase of a Kawasaki utility vehicle for the parks department.

Salisbury’s city council also reviewed the city’s insurance renewal with MOPERM, including plans to split the cost with four of the city’s boards.
