The Mizzou Tigers made short work of the Long Island Sharks, dispatching of the Northeast Conference side 88-61 on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Mizzou Arena for their ninth straight victory.

Despite allowing the first basket, Mizzou went on a 14-0 run early in the first half to set the pace the rest of the way. The Tigers shot 56 percent from the field, including half of their three-point attempts. Five of those trays came from Trent Pierce, who came off the bench to lead Mizzou with 24 points. Marques Warrick added 16 points, while Mark Mitchell was the top starter with 15. The Tigers had the 35-32 edge in rebounds while claiming ten steals.

The Tigers are now 9-1 and will look to make it ten in a row at Mizzou Arena when they host Jacksonville State on Tuesday night. Tip off is at 6:30 p.m., with pregame from 6 p.m. on KMMO.
