A Warrensburg man was seriously injured when he was struck crossing a roadway in the city Saturday, Dec. 14.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Warrensburg Police responded to the collision after 8 p.m. outside the Warrensburg Community Center. Troopers say the 78-year-old man was attempting to cross North Mitchell Street when he was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by a 47-year-old man, also from Warrensburg. The victim was taken to a Kansas City area hospital.
