A donation accepted earlier this month by the Sedalia City Council will cover the costs of pet food and other needs for the Sedalia Animal Shelter.

Outgoing city administrator Kelvin Shaw says the donation from the estate of Jesse and Nancy White continues to fulfill their wish to care and feed cats.

The council also amended the agreement with HDR to include an additional $133,000 for the Washington Street Bridge project, as well as the purchase of a dustless bead blaster worth over 55-thousand dollars for use on the bridge and elsewhere in the city.
