A Glasgow woman was taken to a Columbia hospital after crashing her all-terrain vehicle near the Missouri River on Monday, Dec. 16.

The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on private property north of Route 240 in Saline County, near the Cambridge Bend of the Missouri River west of Glasgow. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the ATV driver was southbound on a field when she began sliding in mud and overturned the ATV, becoming entrapped. Troopers say she was not wearing the proper safety equipment and suffered serious injuries. No other passengers or injuries were reported.
