Seven Missouri Valley College soccer students have been selected to the 2024 NAIA All-American teams. The MVC men’s team set a new program record with six selections.

Included on the NAIA Men’s Soccer All-American First Team was Forward Sam Green, Midfielder Yoshiki Igarashi, and defender Kazuki Hashimoto. Defender Jacob Adams and Goalkeeper Cristobal Benitez Delgado earned Second Team honors, and Midfielder Tate Richards was named to the Third Team.

In addition to the All-American honors, Green was named the Heart Player of the Year and Hashimoto was the Heart Defensive Player of the Year. Plus Green, Hashimoto, Igarashi, Adams, Benitez Delgado and Richards were first team all-conference selections this season.

In the women’s program, Defender Marta Carrasco Mesa has been selected as a second team All-American following her play during the 2024 season.

Earlier this season, Carrasco Mesa was recognized as the Heart Player of the Year and Heart Defensive Player of the Year, along with a first team all-conference selection. Carrasco Mesa became the first player in program-history to earn both individual awards from the Heart.
