The Slater City Council approved both readings of an ordinance adopting the city’s 2025 budget during its most recent meeting.

City Administrator Gene Griffith went through the budget with council, highlighting several contracts and grants included for 2025.

Slater is operating on a $5.8 million in 2025. The council approved both readings and adopted the budget.

In other news, the council voted to cancel is first scheduled meeting in January 2025. The council will next meet on Tuesday, January 21.
