The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles set the pace early and finished strong, snapping the University of Missouri women’s basketball team’s win streak at five in a 76-63 decision Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Mizzou Arena.

Oral Roberts led after one quarter 23-14 and had a five-point lead at the half. Mizzou tied the game late in the third quarter, but a foul on a successful three-point basket as time expired allowed the Golden Eagles to restore a four-point lead heading into the final frame. The Tigers would not get any closer in the fourth, as Oral Roberts closed out the game with a 17-4 run.

Mizzou made 43 percent of their field shots, including just 19 percent from behind the arc. Laniah Randle led the Tigers with 21 points, while Ashton Judge added 18. Three Oral Roberts players were in double figures, with Makyra Tramble posting 24 points and Taleyah Jones contributing 20.

The Tigers are now 10-4 on the season. They’ll take the next week off for Christmas before preparing to host Jackson State on Dec. 29.
