The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved a contract for sewer work that will begin in Spring 2025 during its most recent meeting.

The board wants to obligate the remainder of its ARPA funding to cover the cost of the manhole lining project. City Administrator Dale Klussman said the ARPA funding needed to be allocated by the end of the year, which is why the board approved the contract right now, even though the project won’t begin until next Spring.

The board approved the service contract with SMICO Services for the work.

The board also authorized the execution of a letter of engagement with Randall C. Fiene Accounting to conduct the city’s audit.
