The City of Brunswick accepted the only bid it received for its project to repave several city streets.

City Clerk Sarah Clubine tells KMMO News that Capital Paving and Construction of Columbia submitted the bid to repave four streets in Brunswick: North Jackson, North Madison, North Polk, and Harrison between Adams and Polk. The city council approved the bid at its regular meeting Tuesday, Dec. 17. Up to $160,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds were allocated to the project in November. Clubine adds that the city is pursuing additional sources of funds for future repavement projects.

Brunswick also had its pre-construction meeting Dec. 5 for the wastewater project. Clubine says work crews are expects to begin point repairs and install sewer linings in late January or early February, weather permitting.
