Two were left injured in a collision on I-70 in Lafayette County on Friday, December 20.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a, eastbound Peterbilt truck driven by a 28-year-old Texas man traveled off the left side of the roadway, into the median, and rotated clockwise. The truck then traveled into the westbound lanes and struck a Freightliner truck driven by a 61-year-old man traveling westbound.

The driver of the Peterbilt had serious injuries in the crash, while a passenger in his truck had minor injuries. The driver was taken by lifeflight to Research Medical Center. The Freightliner’s driver had no reported injuries.

The accident occurred at 11:34 p.m. at mile marker 54 on I-70.
