The City of Sedalia’s sanitation division is changing their collection schedule for Christmas, advising all residents to have their carts out for collection Thursday, Dec. 26.

Trash collection will not take place on the city’s usual schedule this week, with no service scheduled on Tuesday or Wednesday. All residents should have their carts out for collection no later than 5 a.m. Thursday morning, as crews will run their routes city wide from Thursday through Saturday between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. Crews will only make one pass along each city street, with trash service resuming normal routes Dec. 30.

Residents are asked to break down boxes and compact trash as much as possible inside the carts, and to not overfill them.
