The Glasgow R-II School District recognized a pair of donations during their recent school board meeting.

At last Wednesday’s meeting, the board recognized Regional Missouri Bank for a contribution of $4219.28. According to the district, the bank has contributed $16,672.37 since 2018 that were collected through the bank’s mascot-branded debit card program. The district also thanked Jan and John Monnig for making an $1875 donation to Glasgow’s track and field program. Also last week, Glasgow Schools recognized their fifth graders for raising $1002.42 for the University of Missouri Children’s Hospital, and the high school’s FCCLA chapter for donating over $400 worth of toys to the Glasgow Food Pantry.

In board action, Glasgow’s school board approved the purchase of another bus if one can be found meeting the board’s criteria, and approved the district’s umbrella insurance policy for cover of $8 million from MUSIC. The board accepted the resignation of music teacher Ariana Moore, effective at the end of the fall semester, and tabled a play for early graduation. Board members also reviewed the district’s annual performance report, which saw Glasgow slip 1.3 percentage points to a score of 76.8 percent.
