A pair of Kansans were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday, Dec. 23 in western Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred just after noon when a car was heading westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Route 50 at the junction with Route AA. The vehicle’s driver, identified as a 72-year-old man from Kansas, attempted to make a U-turn in the median, but struck the driver’s side of a pickup driven by a 24-year-old from Otterville. The accident resulted in moderate injuries to the Kansan, as well as minor injuries to a four-year-old passenger in the car. Both were taken to a Warrensburg hospital for treatment. The Otterville driver had no reported injuries.
