A survey conducted of students, parents, and staff of the Sedalia School District 200 proved inconclusive as to whether the district should change school start time next year.
Superintendent Dr Todd Fraley says surveys over the past month were evenly divided on potential changes.
Fraley says the district is seeking to rearrange school hours to account for fourth grade classes relocating to Sedalia Middle School next August, as well as provide an earlier start and end time at Smith-Cotton High School. He adds that options are limited by transportation capacity.
Fraley expects continued discussion on school hours during the next Sedalia School Board meeting Jan. 27.
