Six people were injured—one seriously—after a pair of pickup trucks collided on U.S. Route 50 in eastern Johnson County on Saturday, Dec. 28.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. near the intersection with Northeast 651st Road outside Montserrat. The Patrol says a pickup driven by a 54-year-old Warrensburg man was beginning to turn right, but was struck by another pickup driven by a 62-year-old man from Cole Camp. The Cole Camp pickup then went off the roadway and struck a ditch. A passenger in this pickup, a 26-year-old woman from Sedalia, suffered serious injuries, while the driver of the Warrensburg pickup sustained moderate injury. Both were taken to a Warrensburg hospital. Four other people involved in the crash were also treated in Warrensburg for minor injuries.
