The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works approved a recommendation hiring a firm to provide engineering services to update the Water Distribution Master Plan during its meeting Thursday, January 2.

MMU sent out a request for qualifications to 21 firms in November. The board received responses from two firms; Great River Engineering and Burns and McDonnell.

After some discussion, the board selected Burns and McDonnell for the services.

In other news, the board approved officers for 2025. Chuck Hines will serve as President, Ken Bryant as Vice President, Steve Mills as Secretary, and Wick Jacobi as Member.
