Saline County Sheriff Daniel Kirchhoff spoke to KMMO News about the on-going work at the Saline County Jail.

Kirchhoff says crews are currently finishing work on the air conditioning units.

Kirchhoff is hopeful the work will be complete in about three weeks. The Sheriff’s Department has had to house some inmates in Lafayette County while the jail is being renovated.

In other news, Kirchhoff spoke about his transition into office and what his goals for the department are.

Kirchhoff was sworn in during a ceremony on Tuesday, December 31.
