The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting zero fatalities during this year’s New Year’s holiday counting period.

The 2025 New Year’s holiday counting period, which began at 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and ended at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2025. 21 injuries were reported in 44 traffic crashes over the holiday. MSHP also reported 50 DWI arrests.

The fatality statistics in this story could change if late deaths occur, or if other departments report fatal traffic crashes.
