Multiple cities are also making snow emergency declarations as snow and ice begins to fall in our area.

The City of Sedalia is advising its residents to move their vehicles off streets signed as snow emergency routes. The city reminds residents that removing cars parked on those streets will allow snowplows to navigate efficiently, allowing emergency services to respond to calls more swiftly. We have a map of these routes:

The Boonville Police Department will enforce the city’s snow emergency starting Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, no later than 9 p.m. Parking restrictions along several key roadways will go into effect until weather and road conditions allow the lifting of the snow emergency. City ordinance defines the city’s emergency routes as follows: Main Street from Ashley Road to High Street, Morgan and Spring streets from Fourth to Sixth streets, Sixth and Seventh streets from Spring Street to Bingham Road, Eleventh Street from Locust Street to Sonya Drive, Morgan Street from Sixth Street to Al Bersted Road, and Locust Street from Main Street to Eleventh Street.
