
The Pettis County Commission approved its Fiscal Year 2025 Budget during an open session on Monday, January 6.
Presiding Commissioner Bill Taylor spoke to KMMO news about the budget process, reporting that the commission started hearing budget presentations from each department head in November 2024. Taylor said there was a need to increase some areas of the budget to help keep up with the needs of the county.
Taylor also spoke about several goals and upcoming projects the commission is looking forward to completing, which includes remodeling the old Sedalia Democrat building. Overall, Taylor says he optimistic about the new year.
