
Kathryn P. Belcher, 89, of Slater, died Monday, January 6, 2025 at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Slater United Methodist Church, with Rev. Paul List officiating. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery in Slater, with Shovey Jackson, Dalton Jackson, Roy Teckemeyer, Wyatt Teckemeyer, Steve Owens, and Trey Jacobson serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post #78 Auxiliary in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born February 7, 1935 in Forest Green, she was the daughter of the late William Walter and Flora Louise Reppenhaggen Teckemeyer. On July 23, 1955 at the Chariton Baptist Church, she married Ralph E. Belcher, and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1997.
She is survived by a son, Walter J. Belcher and his wife Sarah of Mountain View, Missouri. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin Teckemeyer and Aubrey Teckemeyer; a sister, Mary Hutton; and a good friend, John Thoman.
Mrs. Belcher was a 1953 graduate of Glasgow High School, where she was active in basketball and choir. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Post #78 Auxiliary, and the 401 Couples Club. She and her husband owned and operated Belcher Auto Parts in Slater for many years until their retirement. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, crocheting, and visiting with her many friends.
