Beverly passed away at 88 but lived each of those years to the very fullest. Bev was born in Ernestville, Missouri on December 1, 1936, to Norbert and Alverna Alewell. She married the love of her life, Stanford Brockman on December 11, 1954, and together they raised three beautiful children. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Stanford Brockman and parents, Norbert and Alverna Alewel.
Bev made friends wherever she went and like a firecracker she was bright in her own way. She didn’t know a stranger and had an infectious smile and beautiful blue eyes that were loved by so many. Bev owned a dress shop in Concordia, Missouri and operated it for many years. It was something she spent time and effort on and anyone who knew Bev knows you could find her heart and hard work in that dress shop.
She and her husband Stan moved to Nixa Missouri in 1987. They spent many beautiful years together between Nixa and Emma, Missouri before Stan passed away in 2004. After Stanford’s passing, Bev moved permanently to Nixa, Missouri where she spent time up until the end watching her grands and great grands grow, making many new long, lasting friendships of her own along the way.
Beverly was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and continued to pursue her faith for many years. She worked at the Redeemer preschool well into her 70s and loved her time with the children and they loved Ms Bev.
Beverly had many loved ones surrounding her throughout life, supporting her at the end, and that will continue loving her until they can see her in the next life: her children, Vicki and husband, Cal Glasco, Ozark, Missouri; Kim and wife, Jeanette Brockman, Stover, Missouri; Cody Brockman, Stover, Missouri as well as her four granddaughters, Kami Cardwell and husband Billy, Springfield, Missouri; Ashley Montgomery and husband Zane, Nixa Missouri; Cassidy Brunkhorst and husband Cale, Concordia, Missouri; and Carys Brockman, Concordia, Missouri as well as seven great-grands who adoringly called her GG; one sister, Sharon Schuette, Blue Springs, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
