The Concordia R-2 Board of Education is holding its first meeting after the new year tonight at 7 p.m. There will also be a CSIP meeting planned at 6 p.m.

Superintendent Theresa Christian will deliver her report to the board and provide updates about several Legislative issues to watch, including Senate Bill 70 and other pre-filed bills that could affect sales and property tax revenues for public education. Christian’s report will also provide an update on the districts MSIP6 and teacher recruitment and retention.

The board also has plans to consider multiple action items. The board will consider approving the 2025 Summer School Application, review alternative packages for construction projects, and consider a budget revision to transfer funds from Fund 1 to Fund 2 to be more aligned with state statute.

The meeting will be held at the High School Library Media Center.
